  • Following this assessment - Psychological Assessment

The length and comprehensiveness of the psychological assessment will be determined by the findings from the Preliminary telephone and/or e-mail query.

Normally in situations where there are clearly no psychological or behavioural issues and the goal of consultation is to enhance the mental skills related to performance (Performance Development) no further in-depth individual psychological assessment will be undertaken.

Normally in situations where there is some kind of slump or decrement in performance which has been attributed to non-physical causes (Performance Dysfunction) 1- 2 sessions may be necessary to complete an assessment.

In circumstances where there are clearly complex and/or longstanding problems having a significant impact both upon the client’s personal life and performance in sport, (Performance Impairment) 2 – 4 sessions will probably be necessary to make a proper assessment and formulation.
